Zesty Delight: Fresh Blueberry Mojito Recipe
Mojito's tend to be one of my go-to drinks no matter where I travel in the world. There is just something so fresh about a mojito that leaves me craving one whenever I am asked, “What can I make for you?” This Blueberry Mint Mojito Recipe does not disappoint and is made even better with all fresh ingredients.
Blueberry and mint is such a delicious flavor combination, it makes perfect sense to add blueberries to a minty mojito. In this recipe you’ll muddle
blueberries in the bottom of a glass with a few mint leaves, then build a basic
mojito on top. If fresh
blueberries aren’t available, frozen berries will work in their absence.
Fresh Blueberry Mojito Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- ice as needed
- 4 shots rum
- simple syrup
- soda water as needed
- fresh mint leaves
- 3 limes, quartered
Directions
- Divide the blueberries with 2 mint leaves (for each glass) among four glasses. Crush the berries in the bottom of the glasses until well-mashed.
- Fill the four glasses with ice, then add one shot of rum in each plus 1 tablespoon of simple syrup. NOTE: I prefer a less sweet drink so I don't add simple syrup to my drink. However, traditional mojito has sweetener in it even if it is just sugar.
- Top each glass with soda water, then garnish with mint and lime. Stir to combine, then serve.
